School Center

Airport Niš pays close attention to education and professional training of the employees in the area of aviation.
At the Airport, there is an education centre for the Fire-fighting Rescue Service, which obtained the licence from the Director of Civil Aviation of Serbia. After the final exam, all the employees of the Fire-fighting Rescue Service undergo periodical training with the purpose of broadening their knowledge.

Also, Airport Niš has realised cooperation with The Flight Academy in Belgrade and during April and May 2008 the full aviation training of the staff was completed. The staff working for the Arriving, Departing and Passenger Service were trained to work as:

  • Traffic Coordinator
  • Traffic Dispatcher
  • Ramp Dispatcher
  • Handling Supervisor of air-traffic, passengers and baggage
  • Aircraft Balancer
  • Equipment Handler
  • GPU Handler
  • Hostess (Host) at the airport
  • Marshaller

Owing to the above mentioned cooperation with the Flight Academy, Airport Niš enables special training for all those interested candidates, not only from Serbia but also from the neighbouring countries.

After Serbia was admitted to (European) Joint Aviation Authorities JJA, at the end of 2006, all the trainings of employees have been in accordance with the European regulations – Joint Aviation Requirements JAR.
